Employers

Q: Does my company have to handle the WSIB for the employee(s) we get from Professional Personnel?
A: No, all employees sent to our clients are covered under Professional Personnel’s WSIB unless they are hired on directly to their payroll.

Q: If I have employees from Professional Personnel working for me am I able to hire them directly onto my payroll?
A: Yes, Professional Personnel has 2 placement options that allow our client’s to hire the employee directly. The “temp to perm” option allows the client to hire the employee on directly after 3 months and the “direct hire” option allows the client to directly hire the employee on immediately after the qualification process.

Q: What kind of qualifications do your employees need to work for Professional Personnel?
A: Our qualifications are based on the job where the employee will be placed as most qualification standards are set by our clients.

Q: What happens if I have a problem with one of the employees that Professional Personnel sends to my company?
A: If you have a problem with one of the employees we place with you, we ask that you simply contact one of our client service’s emergency numbers and we will remove that person and replace them with another qualified employee.

Q: What kind of lead-time does Professional Personnel need in order to supply us with qualified relief staff?
A: Our staffing consultants are available 24 hours/ 7 days a week and therefore can respond to your request immediately. If you require a temporary relief employee we will strive to find you the most qualified individual with only a few hours notice. If you are requiring a full time placement we ask that you give us as much notice as possible.

Q: What kind of qualifications do your employees need to work for Professional Personnel?
A: Our qualifications are based on the job where the employee will be placed as most qualification standards are set by our clients.

Q: If I get hired by Professional Personnel, will I get paid by them or the client I get placed with?
A: If you are hired under a temporary placement option, you will be paid by Professional Personnel. If you are hired under a temp to perm placement option, you will be paid by Professional Personnel for 3 months and then be hired on by the client. If you are hired under a direct placement option, you will be qualified by Professional Personnel but you will then be paid directly by the client.

Q: If I take a job with Professional Personnel, how do I get paid?
A: Professional Personnel runs a weekly payroll with payday being on the Friday following the week you work. Your pay will either be delivered to the client where you are working or you may pick it up at our office. We also offer our employees the option of having their pay directly deposited into their account.

Q: How soon can you put me to work?
A: It generally takes a couple of days to qualify an employee with Professional Personnel, however we will do everything possible to ensure our employees are placed at a client as soon as a placement becomes available in their field.
